What are Lucky Dip Pins?
Like any manufacturing process, there will always be leftover materials. In our case, it's offcut sheets of acrylic, which we hate to see go to waste.
Every so often we like to gather this material together and release our popular 'Lucky Dip' service. Where customers can create their custom pin designs for an amazing 40% off our usual manufacturing prices and receive their pins in a random, surprise colour.
What will you receive?
Submit your custom pin badge designs and we'll send you quality, finished pins in a random coloured acrylic, with your choice of pin fixing.
Acrylic is chosen at random from our ever-changing, random pile of offcuts and will not necessarily be the colours pictured.
We will try to keep the same colour of Acrylic for each pack of pins. However please note, they could be mixed.
Placing a re-order? We store your artwork for 6 months, which helps us to provide you with consistent results when requesting a re-order. Simply quote your previous order number when placing your new order and we'll use the artwork that we have for you on file.

Free Artwork Setup
We offer FREE artwork setup for all our products and services.
Simply submit your artwork using the 'Upload Artwork' button or by sending directly to design@zapcreatives.com; along with any instructions that you feel would be beneficial and we’ll do the rest.
We'll set up your artwork for free and send you a digital proof. Once you approve your proof, we'll produce your pin badges.
Please note that any artwork you submit must be AT LEAST the same size as your requested pin badge size. For best results we recommend 300dpi files.

Use our single quantity option to purchase samples of your designs before committing to a final production run. Once you are satisfied with your samples and you are ready to place a full order, we will provide you with a discount code for 50% of the cost of any samples ordered.
You must inform us when placing bulk orders based on previous samples so that we can ensure repeatability.
Please note that discount codes can only be used on final orders based on your sample artwork and will only be valid on orders placed within 30 days of your sample order.
You should expect to produce several prototypes of your designs before commiting to a final production run. Purchasing samples will give you the opportunity to see how your designs will look once they are turned into finished products and will allow you to check for any potential problems with your artwork.
We cannot issue refunds or replacements for any artwork issues where samples were not requested beforehand.
To receive your discount code, simply contact us at info@zapcreatives.com with your sample order number(s) and we will issue you with a unique code for 50% of the cost of any applicable samples received.
Can you help me set up my acrylic pin badge designs?
Yes! simply submit your artwork using the 'upload artwork' button or email your artwork to info@zapcreatives.com, along with any instructions, pin back location, for example, and we'll set up your acrylic pin designs and send you a digital proof for your approval.
How thick is the acrylic?
Our pastel acrylics are 3mm thick.
Can my pin badges have more than one pin back?
Yes. To add more than 1 pin back, simply duplicate the pin back template layer and position them where you would like them, before merging the layers together. OR, ask us to do this for you!
How many designs can I have per order?
Use the options to select up to 10 unique designs per order.
How do I send multiple designs using your 'Upload Artwork ' button?
To submit multiple designs via our 'Upload Artwork' button, you will need to group all of your designs into a .zip format folder. to do this simply select all of your designs, right click your mouse and go to > Send To > Compressed zipped folder. You can then upload this folder using the 'Upload Artwork' button.

What is a locking pin back?
A locking pin back is a secure way of attaching your acrylic pin badges to garments. The locking mechanism on these clutches ensures that your pins won't detach, unless you lift the locking mechanism.
Are the backing cards single or double sided?
Either. If you submit double sided artwork we'll print your backing cards double sided, with a different design on each side. If you only submit a single side design, we will produce your backing cards single sided.
Are your backing cards and clear display bags environmentally friendly?
Yes. Our backing cards are made from recycled card stock and our clear display bags are made from vegetable starch and are biodegradable and compostable.
How long do I have to submit my artwork?
You have up to 2 weeks from the date of your order to submit your artwork.
Can I place a re-order?
We store your artwork for 6 months, which helps us to provide you with consistent results whenever you need a re-order. Simply quote your previous order number(s) when placing your new order and we'll use the artwork that we have for you on file.

Production times for our custom pin manufacturing service is approximately 7 working days for pins with a matte or gloss finish and approximately 10 working days for pins with a resin or glitter resin finish* Production times start from proof approval, plus the delivery times below...
*The production times listed on our website are based on an average-sized order. For larger orders, orders containing multiple customised products, and bespoke orders with complex design elements, please contact our admin team, for an accurate production time based on your order.
We only recommend our 'Free' & 'Standard' shipping options for non-urgent orders. Although the postal carriers claim to adhere to the delivery times below, we have experienced packages shipped using our 'Free' & 'Standard' services to take up to 8 weeks to arrive.
